Hi everyone!

Join us this tomorrow, April 12th, on Saturday for what will be an exciting event with Leica Microsystems. Leica will be bringing two really amazing microscopes for an openhouse, their Mateo FL and the Ivesta 3, a inverted confocal fluorescence microscope and dissecting scope respectively. We’d love it if you brought cool things to look at, but even if you don’t have anything particular in mind, we’ll have some materials to share! We want to encourage exploration and curiosity, and what better way to consider the world just beyond our vision than to bring it into a clear focus! Come out and enjoy the company while taking advantage of some cutting edge technology and priceless expertise.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the recent Biotech Fermenter at mHUB! We loved networking with Chicago’s biotech professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, and enthusiasts while discussing the challenges and opportunities in our industry. Your energy and commitment to inclusivity made the evening truly memorable as we explored innovation at mHUB. We’re excited to keep the momentum going—join us for our next Biotech Fermenter on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM CDT at the Off Color Brewing, 1460 North Kingsbury Street, for another evening of pure networking. 🌎 Beyond Earth Day

Part of our ongoing series of collaborative events with AWIS, C2ST, Chientist, and the ISC, we’re leading a panel discussion on April 23rdto mark earth day and talk about how you can contribute to both cutting edge science and working toward a more sustainable ecology here in Chicago at the Sulzer Regional Branch of the Chicago Public Library. Panelists will include Liza Watson Lehrer from the Urban Wildlife Institute at the Lincoln Park Zoo, Taran Lichtenberger from Budburst at The Chicago Botanic Garden, and Olivia Reda from the Adopt-a-Beach Program at the Alliance for the Great Lakes. We are so excited for this conversation, and hope you can join us!
